Feeling Fine

Well this is just the kind of boring blog post I like to write - I felt totally normal and healthy today!

We had a great meal at Carol's yesterday, then came home and gave in to the food coma for the evening. Followed up the evening nap with a good night's sleep, and woke up early this morning with the unmistakable feeling that I had slept enough. Even looking, as I am, for the slightest sign of side effects or dis-ease, I couldn't come up with one complaint today. Took the dogs up to Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, where the snow is deeper than here in town, and we had a beautiful hour and half long hike through some of the prettiest spots on the Refuge. There's nothing like not knowing what tomorrow will bring to help a person appreciate today!

  1. Glad you are having a good day and are enjoying normalcy for awhile. My own food coma, which began yesterday (spent with your sister), lingered well into the day today.

It's great that you are writing this blog (and a bonus for readers that you're such a good writer!). You've been in my thoughts every day and I'll keep the good energy heading your direction.

  2. Glad to hear things are going well so far. Attitude is a big part of the healing equation and I'd say you've got that part nailed down pretty good. Enjoy the snow for me too!

  3. Hi Donna. Glad to hear things are going well and you had a good Thanksgiving! We warmed up over the weekend in the Twin Cities so the snow is disappearing here. Glad you got out with the hounds, I am sure they loved running around in the snow. We had a quiet weekend as we did Thanksgiving two Saturdays ago so Ryan could be there, but having Thursday free was kinda nice too. I am glad you are keeping up your spirits it is the most important part of fighting this. We will miss you on the 7th, but you are right to skip as you would probably be the subject of many, many hugs and you said all of that close interaction is not good for you being on chemo (plus I just know how of much you love lots of attention and hugs!) Take care we are all thinking about you!!!!

  6. Today I was told that we all worry about things, however only 1% of that which we worry, ever becomes reality. Thus...we waste 99% of the time spent on it/worry.

I decided I wanted to purchase the guage...so I searched at Walmart, the pharmacy, the kitchen store, the health supplier, the beauty supplier...and still NO percentage guage. (How much would they cost anyway?) Maybe tomorrow I will find one and we can both quit worrying about 99% of the stuff we do (of course we would hook it up in advance to the item.)

~ How do we hook it up to "tomorrow"?
